SAS Utilities are looking to recruit an experienced, reliable project manager working on utility projects nationwide. Travelling will be required for this role.
Competitive rates of pay, weekend working available. Work is national based. Full PPE and induction provided.
The ideal candidate will have experience within the utilities industry, ability to prioritise a substantial workload with an eye for detail and proactive solution based focus. The candidate will be response for planning, coordinating, and completing projects within specific budgets, timelines and scopes. They will effectively monitor and present project updates to clients.
Essential
- Experience of utilities project management including managing CDM sites.
- Construction industry and process experience in both electric and fibre installations.
- Experience of method statements and risk assessments including process improvement to develop safe systems of work.
- Provide feedback as to efficiencies & health and safety issues including any specific training requirements, delivering tool box talks and relevant safety briefings.
- Making sure that each stage of the project is progressing on time, on budget and to the right quality standards.
- Understand and ensure compliance with the requirements of all relevant legislation, approved codes of practice and procedures set out within the SAS Utilities Ltd management systems compiling and those of our clients.
- Possess an excellent level of technical knowledge, understanding, control and responsibility for all civils site activities.
- Report regularly on progress to the Client and Directors, highlighting any potential financial or delay issues on these various projects.
- Experience of utilities project management including managing CDM sites.
- ICT knowledge for reporting purposes.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Logical solution based focus to support engineers with completing works in a time and cost effective manner.
- Positive team leadership skills required.
