SAS Utilities are looking to recruit an experienced, reliable civils engineer working on utility projects nationwide. Travelling will be required for this role.
Competitive rates of pay, weekend working available. Work is national based. Full PPE and induction provided.
Essential
- NRSWA Certification as appropriate.
- Relevant qualifications relating to specific role within civils team – please send all training certificates with CV.
- Relevant experience of the category of work to be undertaken.
- Drivers license
- Compliance with Health and Safety and all SAS Utilities Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Knowledge of cable laying techniques.
- Cable Winching
- Knowledge of civils work
- Knowledge of openreach network requirements.
Responsibilities
- Carry out cable, civils and excavation work to industry standard.
- Adhere to job instruction packs, risk assessments and method statements are completed daily.
- To undertake an onsite risk assessment before works commences for Health & Safety hazards, compiling with Health & Safety, environment policies and procedures.
- Any concerns regarding Health & Safety to report to supervisor or operations manager.
- Report all incidents and near misses to supervisor or operations manager.
- All job instructions are completed and completions submitted to the office.
- To attend all meetings, safety briefings and tool box talks.
- Carry out all training required for role.
